Safety & Certification
Edwards Aviation holds an Australian Air Operators Certificate, issued by the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) for all charter operations conducted with our aircraft. We operate under the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations (CASR) Part 119 requirements for air transport operations, the same set of rules that govern standards and safety for all airline and charter travel in Australia. Edwards Aviation operates both CASR Part 121 and CASR Part 135 aircraft for non-scheduled aircraft charter tasks and works closely with CASA on regulatory matters, surveillance events and continually improving safety standards for all operations. Our current Air Operators Certificate, detailing our approved scope of operations, can be viewed below.
Edwards Aviation maintains an in-house Training and Checking Organisation for the continual assessment of pilot proficiency and improvement of operating standards across all aircraft. Edwards Aviation employs experienced, CASA-approved examiners and check pilots to conduct the routine assessment of pilot standards.
Edwards Aviation holds certification as an Approved Maintenance Organisation under CASR Part145 engineering and maintenance regulation standards. Under this regulatory structure, maintenance and engineering tasks utilise industry best-practice and are supported by technical data and expertise directly from aircraft and component manufacturers. Our engineering organisation works closely with CASA, OEM manufacturers and other maintenance organisations to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality are maintained for each engineering task. The engineering Certificate of Approval can be viewed below.
All aircraft operations are covered by extensive insurance and liability programs required by Australian law. For specific insurance requirements such as listed interested parties, please contact our Operations staff.
